Dwayne is the pastor of Wellspring Church Charlotte NC, which was founded by him in 2007. Additionally, he is director of Pastoral Care of the Acts 29 Network. He is passionate about educating the next generation of biblical counselors. He sits on the committee of directors of the Biblical Counseling Coalition. He is the creator of numerous articles on the internet and a contributor to Christ-Centered Biblical Counseling: Changing Lives with God's Ever-changing Reality (eds. Kelleman as well as Viars). Dwayne along with his wife Leslie have three children.
